Job summary

A leading engineering solutions provider in Singapore is seeking a Sales Engineer to assist the Sales Manager in managing inquiries, preparing quotations, and providing technical clarifications. The ideal candidate should have a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with 3D design software and strong communication skills are essential. This role offers the opportunity to engage with clients and promote company solutions at various industry events.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or Automation.
  • Experience in Railway, Bus Depot, Aerospace, or Waste Water Treatment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with mainstream 3D design software.

Job Description
  • Assist the Sales Manager in managing sales enquiries, preparing quotations, following up with customers, and providing technical and commercial clarifications.
  • Prepare technical specifications, proposals, and tender documentation for customer enquiries and projects.
  • Develop conceptual designs for sales and tendering purposes in collaboration with Engineering and Project teams.
  • Proactively identify and approach potential clients through targeted prospecting, networking, and strategic engagements.
  • Promote the Company’s solutions, products, and services through trade shows, industry events, and marketing initiatives.
  • Present the Company’s core business, solutions, and value propositions to clients and relevant authorities.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers while developing new accounts.
  • Identify and develop new business channels and market opportunities.
  • Conduct market and sales research to support the development of sales strategies to achieve sales targets and profitability objectives.
  • Translate customer requirements into clear internal briefs and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Prepare proposals and recommendations to enhance sales productivity and business competitiveness.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Manufacturing, Industrial, Automation Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or Automation environments.
  • Experience in Railway, Bus Depot, Aerospace, or Waste Water Treatment industries will be an added advantage.
  • Familiar with mainstream 3D design software such as SolidWorks, Creo, NX or equivalent.
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings and perform basic 2D drafting using AutoCAD.
  • Sales-oriented, self-driven, proactive, and positive in attitude.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Energetic, approachable, and professional in demeanor.
  • Team player with good planning, organizational, and coordination skills.
