Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve assigned targets for steel pipes (eg. seamless, welded API 5L, ASTM grades).
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in targeted sectors such as oil & gas, construction, shipbuilding, water infrastructure, and manufacturing.
- Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations to prospective clients.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, and project contractors.
- Provide prompt responses to inquiries, quotations and order confirmations.
- Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Technical & Product Knowledge
- Understand steel pipe specifications, grades, dimensions, standards (API, ASTM, EN, ISO) and coating/lining options.
- Advise clients on product suitability, technical requirements, and compliance with project specifications.
- Work closely with manufacturers to prepare accurate bids and proposals.
Market & Competitor Analysis
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
- Identify gaps in the market and propose new sales initiatives.
Order Management & Coordination
- Coordinate with production, logistics and quality team to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Monitor project schedules and resolve issues that may impact delivery or customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial products sales, preferably steel pipes, or related products.
- Familiarity with international standards (API 5L, API 5CT, ASTM A106, ASTM A53, etc.) is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with CRM systems is a plus.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness and ability to travel when required for business purposes.
