Job summary

A leading construction company in Singapore seeks a Workplace Safety and Health Officer to ensure compliance with safety regulations, implement safety plans, and lead safety initiatives on-site. The candidate should have a relevant diploma or degree and 2-3 years of experience in the construction industry. A valid registration with the Ministry of Manpower as a WSHO is required. This role involves advising management, conducting safety inspections, and liaising with clients' safety teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry.
  • Possess a valid registration with MOM as Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
  • Independent with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Advise Top Management on updates in WSH.
  • Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act.
  • Implement Lindner Project Safety Plan.
  • Liaise with Clients' safety team on site safety.
  • Liaise with clients' safety teams on overall site safety.

Job description
Job Responsibilities:
  • Advise Top Management on any update and new development in the field of WSH
  • Ensure compliance with the Workoplace Safety and Health Act and requirements in the execution of the construction activities
  • Implement Lindner Facades Asia Project Safety Plan
  • Liaise with Clients' safety team in managing overall site safety
  • Assist in the maintenance of Lindner's Safety Management System to ISO 45001 standard and SS506 requirements / bizSAFE Star certification
  • Assist with safety program implementation at the workplaces towards safety culture development.
  • Lead the contractors in the implentation of Company's safety systems to promote the safe conduct of the Works.
  • Liaise closely with staff / Government Regulatory Authorities and clients on all EHS Matters.
  • Assist the Project Managers in safety enforcement and the achievement of WSH targets and objectives
  • Conduct periodic safety inspection of workplaces and review Rish Assessments to ensure continued adequacy and effectiveness
  • Carry out incident investigations and propose corrective actions to be implemented
  • Inspect and rectify any unsafe practices and conditions at the workplaces.
  • Maintain and update safety related documentation and records
  • Conduct Safety training and/or briefing to staff
  • Assist to organize WSH campaign and safety related activities
  • Participate in preparation for Audit and follow up on the actions needed from the audit findings
  • Assist Corporate Safety Manager on safety (WSH) matters
  • Coordinate and implement the Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan onsite with consultation with Clients
  • Take on any safety related and other ad-hoc duties as assigned
  • Other duties as stipulated in the WSH Act
Job Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 2-3 years relevant working experience in contruction industry
