Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced safety manager. The role includes reviewing risk assessments and attending essential project meetings. Candidates should have substantial experience in construction safety and relevant infrastructure projects, especially tunnels and viaducts. The ideal candidate will also possess a registered PE or Architect qualification and have at least 10 years in design and supervision roles.

Qualifications

• 10 years of relevant experience in construction, especially in tunnel and viaduct structures.
• Experience in design, including specifications writing and project supervision.
• Passed the Design for Safety (DfS) Professional Course.

Responsibilities

• Review Risk Assessments and attend related meetings.
• Ensure submission of monthly RMF reports.
• Undertake other RMF roles as assigned by Construction Managers.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Review of Risk Assessments.
• Attend Construction Risk Management (CRM) meeting.
• Attend Project Safety Review (PSR) meeting.
• DfS and CRM meeting to be conducted simultaneously.
• Ensure prompt submission of the monthly RMF report during CRM meeting.
• Attend Monthly RMF meeting.
• Other RMF roles as tasked by Construction Managers and as per project requirements.

Requirements

• Have reasonable exposure in safety and health for construction especially on transportation infrastructure projects i.e. tunnel structure, viaduct structure etc.
• Attended the Design for Safety (DfS) for Professional Course and passed the assessment
• A registered PE or Architect with a Practicing Certificate, or
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience (tunnel structure, viaduct structure etc.) in the design (min. 5 years in design which includes contributions to designs, writing specifications) and the supervision of the construction of structures
