About the Role

We are seeking motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Executives to join our growing team.

As a Retail Sales Executive at Gain City, you will be the first point of contact for walk-in customers, providing expert advice and tailored recommendations on our furniture and bedding products. This is a customer-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, building rapport, understands consultative selling and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will conduct product demonstrations, respond to customer queries professionally and work closely with colleagues to deliver exceptional service. Your ability to meet sales targets consistently, stay informed about market trends, and maintain a well‑organised sales floor will contribute directly to our store’s success.

As a new employee, you will be eligible for guaranteed commission during your first 3 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome walk-in customers warmly and proactively engage with them
• Use a consultative selling approach by understanding customers’ needs and preferences, and offering tailored advice and recommendations
• Answer customers’ questions in a pleasant and professional manner
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of furniture and bedding products, including their features and benefits
• Conduct product demonstrations to highlight key features, benefits and unique selling points
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and support
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding customer service
• Comply with inventory control procedures and maintain accurate stock counts
• Keep assigned areas clean, organised and well‑presented

Qualifications and Requirements

• Have a good understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Friendly and energetic personality with a strong customer service focus
• Good communication skills in English; proficiency in Chinese and/or Malay is an advantage
• Perform well under pressure and handle customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
• Meet personal and departmental sales targets on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
• Work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
• Willing to attend company-sponsored PWM and OPW training
• Have a keen interest in home furnishing and decoration; prior knowledge is a plus
• Relevant experience in selling furniture and bedding products is a plus
