Retail Shop Manager (Luxury Gifting & Heritage Lifestyle) – Madame Nonya, Sentosa

Madame Nonya is a Singapore-born lifestyle and gifting brand that blends Peranakan heritage with modern luxury. We create artisanal Nonya kueh, specialty coffee, heritage-inspired chocolates, and curated souvenirs — each crafted to tell a story of culture, craftsmanship, and celebration.

Located at Resorts World Sentosa, Madame Nonya is more than a retail shop — it’s a destination that captures the essence of Singapore for both locals and tourists.

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and hands-on Retail Shop Manager to lead our flagship store, inspire the team, and deliver an exceptional guest experience that blends heritage, hospitality, and design.

Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, motivate, and train a team of retail associates and part-timers to uphold brand values and service standards.
  • Drive a culture of hospitality, excellence, and storytelling — every customer interaction should feel personal and memorable.
  • Manage scheduling, performance reviews, and staff development to ensure smooth daily operations.
2. Sales & Operations
  • Oversee daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, inventory, and visual merchandising.
  • Set and achieve sales targets through team motivation, product knowledge, and upselling initiatives.
  • Maintain stock accuracy and coordinate with suppliers and HQ for replenishments.
  • Ensure compliance with SFA hygiene and operational standards.
3. Brand Experience & Visual Presentation
  • Uphold Madame Nonya’s aesthetic — ensuring the store is always photo-ready, elegant, and aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Work closely with the HQ team on campaign execution, visual merchandising, and social content opportunities.
  • Ensure smooth coordination for marketing events, media visits, and seasonal launches.
4. Customer Experience & Community Building
  • Build relationships with repeat customers, partners, and brand collaborators.
  • Resolve customer issues with professionalism and warmth.
  • Act as the face of the brand on-site — representing Madame Nonya to both local and international guests.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in retail or F&B store management (luxury, boutique, or lifestyle brands preferred).
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and operationally strong.
  • Creative and adaptable — comfortable in a fast-growing startup environment.
  • Passionate about heritage, design, and delivering meaningful customer experiences.
  • Able to work weekends and public holidays (Sentosa tourist operations).
