A prominent restaurant in Singapore is seeking a Cleaner to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning various areas including the dining area and kitchen, transporting waste, and maintaining the par stocks of supplies. A good understanding of hygiene practices and attention to detail are essential for this role. Immediate availability is preferred.

Job description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF CLEANER

To contribute to the efficient running and economic operation of the FOH in support of all other operating Departments, supplying services as required to the entire operation.

CORE COMPETENCIES

To clean the area mainly at the restaurant – internal & external, bar tabletop / dishwashing washing area.

Transports trash to disposal area.

Washes pots, pans, and trays by hand.

Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.

Good knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards.

POSITION SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Holds inverted glass over revolving brushes to clean inside surfaces.

Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.

Washes worktables, sinks, walls, ceiling, air vents, refrigerators, and meat blocks.

Cleans and washes floor and gutter drains and grease traps.

Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.

Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.

Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth.

Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.

Reports any difficulty or problem to Head Chef for solution or follow up actions.

Maintains par stocks of all equipment and guest supplies.
