Job summary

A leading technology services provider in Singapore is seeking an individual for onsite support related to Virtual Private Cloud infrastructure. The role involves coordinating with vendors, ensuring hardware is properly mounted, and troubleshooting. Ideal candidates will possess strong knowledge of server hardware and networking components, while also demonstrating excellent communication skills and attention to detail. This position requires the ability to work effectively across teams, multitasking, and providing hands-on support for physical hardware tasks.

Job Description

1. Professional services to support onsite Virtual Private Cloud related infrastructure build and breakfix in Data Center.
2. Escort vendors engineers for hardware services and maintenances.
3. Plan / Schedule and work closely with OEM vendors on physical installation, configuration, testing and break-fix for hardware.
4. Ensure all hardware for server, storage, network, and storage are mounted as per our design.
5. Follow-up on cablings and patching request.
6. Work with DBS team and vendor engineers for onsite troubleshooting.
7. To raise required process to follow DBS change and control for onsite access.
8. Provide physical hands-on support for all server hardware, e.g. power-cycle or reboot.

Requirements

1. Singaporean and SPR are welcome to apply. We got not much foreign quota.
2. Knowledge on server hardware, SAN storage and networking components (routers & switches).
3. Technical know-how of server components, e.g. HDD, CPU, RAM, network, and storage cards.
4. Ability to effectively communicate across multiple teams, multitasking skills are required.
5. Good trouble shooting skills / detailed oriented with good organizational skills.
