A leading research institution in Singapore seeks a researcher to contribute to the development of advanced in vitro platforms for neurotoxicity assessment related to food safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for cell production and culture, establishing biological models, and designing metabolomics analyses. This role focuses on generating robust data for regulatory compliance in food safety risk assessment.
The role involves contributing to the development and implementation of advanced in vitro platforms for developmental neurotoxicity assessment relevant to food safety. The individual will be responsible for cultivated cell production, cell culture, and comprehensive cell characterisation to support toxicity and safety evaluation studies.
The role includes establishing and optimising complex biological models, such as organoids and organ-on-chip systems, to recapitulate key neurophysiological processes. In addition, the candidate will design and execute metabolomics analyses to map adverse outcome pathways, develop and apply high-throughput screening assays to detect both early and late indicators of neurotoxicity. Ultimately, the goal is to generate robust, scalable, and regulatory-relevant data to support food safety risk assessment.
