A premier research organization in Singapore is seeking a Research Officer for their laboratory focusing on cancer metabolism and stem cells. The successful candidate will explore the role cancer stem cells play in tumor progression and contribute to developing targeted therapies. A Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences and relevant research experience are required. Position for a Research Officer is available in the laboratory of Translational Cancer Biology at GIS. The laboratory is broadly interested in understanding the contributions of cancer stem cells and the tumour microenvironment, particularly in the aspect of cancer metabolism, to malignant cancer progression. We focus on dissecting the distinctive properties of cancer stem cells in various carcinomas and haematological cancers and seek to exploit metabolic pathway vulnerabilities towards the development of targeted cancer therapies.
Applicants should have relevant training in the field of biomedical sciences. Prior experience in cancer, stem cell, animal models or translational research is desirable. Candidates are expected to be highlymotivated, possess strong organization skills, and work effectively in an interdisciplinary environment.
