Who we’re looking for
Report To:

Selected candidate will report to Head of Scientific & Sales Operations, or others as assigned.

The Scope

You will be part of Esco Aster’s Analytical Development team and contribute to the company’s CDMO mission and objectives. You will carry out analytical development activities in support of drug substance and product manufacturing and testing. Your work will require close collaboration with the process development scientists.

Primary work location: Ayer Rajah Crescent, Singapore.

Job Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate understanding in execution of experiments related to analytical characterization of drug substance and drug products.
  • Ability to analyse the experimental results and demonstrate interest in carrying out improvements to any assay deviation.
  • Ideally able to demonstrate competency in at least one technique in either one of the groups:
    • Group 1 : Cell-based assay, flow cytometry, qPCR, ELISA, western blotting
    • Group 2: Application of HPLC/UPLC in small molecules analysis
  • Meticulous and organized in scheduling experimental assays, documentation of analytical test reports, and drafting protocols
  • Ability to communicate and explain experimental results effectively with internal stakeholders and identify logical next steps of the experiment.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude towards guidance. Willingness to learn new analytical techniques and demonstrate interest to continuous deepen skill expertise.
  • Demonstrate collaborative efforts with cross functional teams in support of the technology transfer of analytical to operational department, including transferring of SOP and analytical assay.
  • Able to work in cGxP regulated environment
  • Perform tasks in accordance with applicable regulations and site safety requirements.
  • Undertake other tasks as assigned based on project needs.
Other Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related disciplines.
  • Proficient in various software that supports scientific analysis (e.g. Microsoft excel, JMP, prism etc).
  • Able to work independently, self‑starter, self‑motivated and task oriented.
  • Strong team player, develop positive relationships with a strong set of interpersonal skills.
  • During the start-up phase of the team/facility, be adaptable to dynamic workflow changes and shifting priorities.
