The Division of Supportive and Palliative Care (DSPC) seeks an unflappable and compassionate individual to contribute to our growing work in health services research. Our health services research projects seek to improve clinical care for patients with cancer by developing, evaluating and implementing novel models of healthcare service delivery for palliative care. The research coordinator will perform a variety of activities under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and/or her designate:

  • Screen and recruit patients/ research participants.
  • Conduct semi-structured interviews or surveys with patients/ research participants.
  • Participate in study procedures which may include care coordination, patient navigation and health coaching.
  • Extract clinical data from medical records.
  • Enter and manage study data.
  • Attend to the administrative and logistic needs of research projects, including IRB submissions and report writing.

Job Requirements: 1. Bachelor degree in nursing or life sciences or social sciences or related field. 2. Able to connect with young and old alike. 3. Motivated and able to work independently. This position will suit a hardworking person who is keen to widen their horizons, gain experience in the healthcare sector and learn some practical skills in health services research.
