Job summary

A leading pharmaceutical research company in Singapore is seeking a Research Assistant for their Translational Pharmacology Unit. The role involves designing and performing in vivo pharmacology studies, establishing models, and conducting in vitro assays to assess drug efficacy. Candidates should have a degree in Biomedical Science or related fields, preferably with some experience in animal handling and laboratory procedures. Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field, preferably with 1-2 years of experience.
• Experience in animal handling is encouraged.
• Familiar with basic laboratory procedures and relevant techniques.

Responsibilities

Job description

Chugai Pharmabody Research Pte. Ltd. (“CPR”) was established in Singapore as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd (Chugai), a member of Roche group, in January 2012 and started operations on July 2, 2012. Located at Biopolis in Singapore, it aims to generate new antibody drugs based on Chugai’s proprietary antibody engineering technologies, such as recycling antibody®, sweeping antibody®, bispecific antibody, various Fc engineered antibodies, and other new antibody engineering technologies that are under development.

Research Assistant – Translational Pharmacology Unit

Job Scope:

• Design and perform in vivo pharmacology study
• Establish in vivo pharmacology models
• Conduct in vitro assay to assess drug’s efficacy
• Perform PharmacoKinetics/PharmacoDynamic and biomarkerstudies
• Perform animal immunization
• Animal husbandry work

Requirements:

• Degree in Biomedical Science/Biotechnology/Molecular Biotechnology or a related field, preferably with 1-2 years of related working experience.
• Candidates with experience in handling animals such as mice, rats and/or rabbits are highly encouraged to apply for the position.
• Familiar with basic laboratory procedures. Experience in Molecular biology techniques, Cell culture, Flow Cytometry, and other relevant skills will be an added advantage.
• Fresh graduates with keen interest in in vivo pharmacology are welcome to apply.
