Overview

Our client is a global B2B Media business focused on ESG and Finance reporting. The Singapore team are growing and looking for a Reporter (or senior reporter) to join the team. This is a unique opportunity to provide in-depth coverage on interesting energy and infrastructure initiatives across the APAC region, along with global markets.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver breaking news stories daily, with a strong focus on exclusives.
  • Write both news articles and feature stories, incorporating data from extensive resources.
  • Maintain frequent and high-level communication with key stakeholders such as investors, developers, bankers, lawyers, and regulators.
  • Participate in face-to-face and virtual meetings to strengthen your network and stay connected with market leaders.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, to produce impactful content.
  • Contribute to deeper insights, including case studies, and provide analysis on the latest trends within the sector.
Ideal Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in financial or ESG journalism, with a proven track record of reporting and writing under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in an additional Asian languages is a plus.
  • Strong interviewing skills and the ability to build relationships with high-level industry contacts.
  • Familiarity with finance, infrastructure or energy is advantageous but not a requirement.
  • Ability to handle cold calling and networking to develop a robust portfolio of industry contacts.
  • Organised, efficient, and comfortable working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
