About the Role:

To ensure optimal performance and reliability of manufacturing equipment by strategically planning and scheduling maintenance and calibration activities. This role supports production efficiency by minimizing equipment downtime, coordinating maintenance resources, and aligning maintenance schedules with operational demands, while adhering to safety, quality, and compliance standards

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage planning and schedules for maintenance and calibration activities to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Create, prioritize, and track maintenance work orders using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Uploading of maintenance work completed into the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).
  • Review and ensure timely closure of Maintenance or calibration work orders performed by internal maintenance staff or external contractors to ensure compliance
  • Resource / Workload Leveling to ensure work is distributed in an effective and efficient manner in accordance with production schedule.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to enhance preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Communicating to internal maintenance staff and external contractors of system or procedural changes / improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement of the CMMS data, including accuracy of asset details and work duration to support effectiveness of resource allocation.
  • Liaise with production teams to address maintenance concerns and outstanding requests.
  • Management of spare parts inventory, including stock control, replenishment (Purchasing), cycle counts, and physical inventory management.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution of scheduled maintenance and calibration tasks.
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of departmental strategies to achieve organizational goals
Qualifications & Experience:
Required
  • Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline with a focus on machine maintenance. Equivalent experience or prior learning may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent time management and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in Data Collection and Analysis for creation.
  • Maintenance Performance Metrics.
  • Proactively self-manage and complete work to the highest standards in a timely manner.
  • Awareness of health and safety procedures
Preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ Experience in a Maintenance Planner or Scheduler role.
  • Prior Experience using Oracle eAM or other CMMS Systems
