About Metta Day Rehabilitation Centre for the Elderly
Established in June 1998, Metta Day Rehabilitation Centre for the Elderly provides rehabilitative care to seniors with physical impairments caused by stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and other conditions.
With a maximum capacity of 75 clients, our centre helps clients regain independence while offering respite to families and caregivers. We deliver a comprehensive range of rehabilitative and social support services under one roof in a safe, caring environment.
Role Overview
The Rehab Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the centre, ensuring quality care, smooth workflows, and a safe environment. You will lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, plan client-focused programmes, and uphold high standards of rehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities
1. Centre Operations Management
- Ensure smooth daily operations of the centre.
- Optimize client capacity for safe care delivery in compliance with MOH guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and conducive environment for clients and staff.
- Develop and implement engaging and functional rehabilitation programs.
- Establish, review, and improve SOPs, systems, and processes.
- Manage budgeted centre expenditures.
2. Person-Centered Care
- Plan and organize client-focused rehabilitation and social activities.
- Conduct holistic assessments (bio-psycho-social-emotional) when necessary.
- Coordinate admissions and discharges of clients.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and quality care standards.
- Promote active engagement and participation of clients in their rehabilitation journey.
- Communicate effectively with clients, caregivers, and stakeholders.
3. Staff & Volunteer Supervision
- Must be a Registered Nurse with the ability to lead and supervise a team.
- Train and guide staff to provide high-quality care through coaching and delegation.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support centre programs.
- Supervise staff conduct, discipline, and performance with good governance.
- Oversee and support the Operations Executive in daily tasks.
- Develop staff potential and cultivate a coaching culture within the team.
4. Administrative & Compliance Duties
- Assist in budget planning, resource utilization, and service improvements.
- Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and risk management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain confidentiality under PDPA.
- Prepare reports for external authorities and internal management committees.
- Participate in fundraising and community engagement initiatives.
Job Requirements
Experience & Qualification
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in healthcare settings.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a healthcare or eldercare environment.
- Minimum Diploma/ Degree in Nursing.
- Postgraduate or Advanced Diploma in Eldercare/Community Care is an advantage.
- Must be registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
- Valid BCLS and AED certification.
- Completed COVID-19 vaccination as per MOH guidelines.
