Position Summary
The Regional Finance Manager plays a key role in APAC IM Regional Finance, leading core FP&A activities and overseeing controllership for the Pharm Asia Pacific Regional Office. The role supports regional leadership with P&L and Balance Sheet reporting, analysis, and insights, while managing the regional financial calendar across actuals, business planning, and latest-thinking forecasts. In addition, you will partner closely with APAC IM Headquarters to deliver financial insights and support strategic decision-making. This role reports to the Regional Senior Finance Manager and leading one team member.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the region’s full financial planning cycle, including business plan, target setting, latest forecasts, and recurring business reviews, ensuring clear visibility of risks, opportunities, and required actions.
- Partner directly with APAC and regional management teams to provide strategic financial guidance, fact-based analytics, and decision support across key business decisions.
- Oversee Pharm Asia Pacific Regional Office controllership, including monthly/quarterly closing, financial reporting, and forecast consolidation, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong governance.
- Manage APAC business plan/actuals/latest thinking forecast submissions and coordinate regional calendar guidance to clusters, clarifying global submission requirements.
- Coordinate P&L and Balance Sheet planning and deliver Budget vs Actuals analyses; lead Free Cash Flow (FCF) reviews in partnership with the Group CFO.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis, business case evaluations, external benchmarking, and strategic insights to support regional decision-making and strengthen financial performance.
- Ensure full compliance with J&J governance processes, global financial policies (WWP), and quarterly SOX requirements; collaborate with controllership and compliance teams to ensure strong financial controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting and CPA/CMA is preferred but not required.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive finance business experience.
- Prior experience working as a Finance Manager providing financial leadership and developing high performing teams
- Proven experience in partnering with leaders and influencing at all levels of the organization
- Ability to lead teams in a complex environment and develop those individuals to meet the future needs of the business (preferred people management experience).
- Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills required to successfully work in a global, matrixed team environment
- Able to work independently and to adapt to changes in a dynamic business environment
