Job description
Roles & Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation and Budgeting:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical and electrical works at various project stages, including feasibility, design, and construction.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and monitoring of costs.

Tendering and Procurement:

  • Prepare tender documents, including bill of quantities, specifications, and scope of work for M&E contracts.
  • Evaluate tenders, conduct negotiations with contractors, and make recommendations for contract awards.

Contract Management:

  • Review and analyze contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions, and manage any variations or claims.
  • Prepare and submit progress claims, final accounts, and related documentation to clients and contractors.

Cost Control and Reporting:

  • Monitor project expenditures and performance against budgets, identifying any deviations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide regular cost reports and financial forecasts to project management and stakeholders.

Site Visits and Assessments:

  • Conduct site visits to assess progress, quality of work, and compliance with design specifications.
  • Liaise with project teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to M&E works.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on mechanical and electrical projects in the construction industry.
