Job description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all cost-related aspects of building and engineering projects from the initial estimation, prepare quotation to customer and budgeting stage through to final cost reporting and settlement. You’ll help ensure projects are completed within budget while maintaining compliance with statutory building regulations, quality standards, and company procedures. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing technical accuracy, financial management, and site coordination in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing and analysing detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities
  • Negotiating and administering contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Monitoring project costs and budgets, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions
  • Preparing and follow up monthly progress claims in timely manner
  • Assist Project Manager to preparing quotation and follow up
  • Providing strategic advice to the project team on cost and commercial matters
  • Ensuring projects comply with all relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Mentoring and developing more junior quantity surveying personnel
What we're looking for
  • 5+ years of post-qualification experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the construction industry
  • Excellent knowledge of construction cost management principles, processes and systems
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in the use of computer-aided software and digital tools for cost estimating and project controls
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
