Job summary

A leading engineering company in Singapore is seeking a qualified professional to interpret metal structural drawings and ensure compliance with specifications. The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma or Degree in relevant engineering fields and demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD. Responsibilities include preparing fabrication drawings and liaising with the fabrication team. This full-time position offers a 5.5-day work schedule and values strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interpret metal structural drawings and calculate costs for quotations.
• Perform quantity take-offs and measurements for job inquiries.
• Verify material orders and fabrication work for compliance.
• Prepare or modify fabrication drawings using AutoCAD.
• Convert design concepts into detailed shop drawings.
• Liaise with the fabrication team for drawing clarifications.

Job description

• Interpret metal structural drawings and calculate costs for quotations
• Perform quantity take-offs and measurements of for job inquiries and quotation
• Verify and ensure material orders and fabrication work comply with specifications and drawings

• Prepare or modify fabrication drawing into AutoCAD other CAD software
• Convert design concepts into detailed shop drawing
• Liaise with the fabrication team to clarify drawing details.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Degree in Construction/ Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/ Quantity Surveying
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D drafting as required)
• Basic Understanding of metal fabrication
  Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions.
• Full Time position with 5.5 Days/week
