Job summary

A construction company in Singapore seeks a Quantity Surveyor who is proficient in AutoCAD and can prepare detailed cost estimates. Responsibilities include analyzing project specifications, managing contracts, and ensuring project timelines. The ideal candidate has a Degree or Diploma in Building, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and at least 2 years of experience in drafting. This role requires independence, attention to detail, and project management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Possess a Degree or Diploma in Building or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as an AutoCAD drafter is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Draw AutoCAD shop drawings as required.
• Analyze project specifications and prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare and manage contracts with clients and subcontractors.
• Mitigate risks and resolve disputes during projects.
• Prepare tender documents for submission.

• Must be able to draw autocad shop drawings
• Prepare and analyze cost comparison
• Analyze project specifications, quantify materials and resources required, and prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Analyze construction plans and specifications to determine material quantities and costs
• Develop budgets, considering factors such as labor, materials, equipment, and contingencies
• Obtaining quotations, liaising and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers
• Responsible for measuring quantities and taking off
• Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub-contractor payments
• Prepare tendering works for submission
• Prepare, negotiate, and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Mitigate risks and resolve disputes during the project.
• All other QS related job

Job Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Building or its equivalent
• 2 years as autocad drafter is an advantage
• Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines
• Having a good communication and negotiation skills with attention to details character
• Having a good project management abilities
