Job summary

A construction firm in Singapore is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to manage tender documents, conduct site visits, and assist in project budgeting. Ideal candidates will possess a Degree/Diploma in Civil, Business, or Construction Management and have at least 3 years of experience in hospitality or commercial projects. Job description
Job Responsibilities:
  • Study and review the tender documents, which include specifications, drawings, commercial requirements and technical requirements.
  • Attends to site meetings and tender show rounds as and when required.
  • Attend site visits and familiar with our project sites progress and clarification.
  • Compilation of quotations, comparison of quotes, review of prices, selection of competitive prices and summarizing subcontractors, materials and equipment.
  • Estimation of indirect costs.
  • Compile unit rates, construction equipment rates and other cost information requirement for the bid.
  • Compile realistic budgeting / costing analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender summary for management review.
  • Prepare supporting information for the management during tender negotiation stage.
  • Assist the Project Manager in working out the quantities for variations and progress claims.
  • Prepare the post-contract transfer of documents.
  • Prepare monthly progress claim, vet/recommend and prepare vendors' payment certificate for management approval.
  • Work alongside Project Manager and planning department to prepare EOT notifications and related loss & expense claims.
  • To attend weekly/regular site walks and survey with clients/consultants for project-based QS positions.
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years’ working experience
  • With experience in hospitality/commercial /institutional projects.
  • Possess a Degree/Diploma in Civil/Business/Construction Management.
  • Willing to learn and committed to accomplish datelines.
