Job summary

A leading engineering and construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to prepare bills of quantities and handle contract negotiations with subcontractors. The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering, along with at least 3 years of local experience in civil and building projects. A good team player with a positive attitude is essential for this role, and the position requires the ability to work independently.

Job description
Job Responsibilities :
  • Prepare bill of quantities for tendering of subcontract packages including sourcing out of subcontractors/suppliers
  • Handle contract negotiations with subcontractors/suppliers and prepare subcontract agreement
  • Handle cost monitoring, adherence to contract specifications and drawings
  • Prepare payment certificates of subcontractor
  • Evaluate and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreement with subcontractors
  • Prepare variation orders and reconcile with the client’s quantity surveyors in accordance to the contract agreement
  • Prepare monthly progress claim to client and assist in preparation of cashflow forecast for submission to client
  • Coordinate changes in plans with design team and review the potential variation claims to client
  • Provide assistance with either the tender process or project execution
Job Requirements :
  • Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying/ Civil Engineering or other related field
  • Minimum 3 years of local working experience in Civil and Building projects
  • A good team player with good initiative and positive work attitude
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
