A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs, obtain quotations, and ensure accurate reporting. Candidates should hold a degree in Quantity Surveying and have at least 3 years of experience in main contracting companies. The ideal candidate is analytical, meticulous, and a strong team player who can handle contract negotiations and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Min Degree in Quantity Surveying or its equivalent.
• 3 years and above experience as QS in main-con companies.
• Proven ability in contract negotiation, contract administration & variation orders.

• Prepare and analyze cost comparison
• Obtaining quotations, liaising and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers
• Responsible for measuring quantities and taking off
• Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub-contractor payments
• Strong understanding of construction and engineering principles
• Proficiency in cost estimation and quantity takeoff techniques
• Knowledge of relevant construction contracts and procurement processes
• Analytical skills to evaluate and manage project costs effectively
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cost calculations and reporting

Requirements

• Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in quantity surveying, such as cost estimating software and project management applications
• Proven ability in contract negotiation, contract administration & variation orders
• Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines
