Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to inspect and certify Ground Support Equipment (GSE) according to maintenance standards. The ideal candidate has a Nitec qualification, at least 3 years of experience in automotive or related fields, and is capable of leading a QC team. Job description

Overview

• Perform inspection and certify Ground Support Equipment (GSE) are serviced in accordance with approved maintenance checklist and ensure high quality workmanship.
• Reports recurrent defect or failure to enable investigation and analysis for the initiating, recommending, and providing preventive and corrective solutions.
• Maintains all records of inspection, testing, analysis and investigation carried out.
• Identifies and records any product/service problem and initial action to prevent recurrent.
• Verifies the effective implementation of the preventive and corrective actions on any non-conformity.

Quality Assurance Responsibilities

• Perform Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA) on First Article, Incoming and Warranty inspections on all incoming spares supporting the maintenance of GSE.
• Conduct product inspection and tests.
• Prepare inspection and test record.
• File and maintain product inspection records.
• Liaise with supplier QA representative for product acceptance.
• Feedback to engineers on inspection and quality issues.
• Support engineers in troubleshooting and failure investigation of product.

Leadership

• Senior or Principal QCI are required to lead a team of QCIs to perform the above-mentioned s/no 1 to 2 and may be called upon to act as maintenance controller to schedule preventive maintenance servicing, track servicing turn-around-time and provide assistances to users on any technical and/or administrative related issues

Job Requirements

• Nitec in any discipline or equivalent, with at least 3 years of working experience in an automotive or other related industry (relevant NS experience also consider).
• Preferably with hands-on experience in automotive, heavy, or military equipment and vehicles.
• Preferably with QA (inspection/ testing) background.
• Able to read and write inspection report in English.
• Minimum Class 3 Driving is preferred.
