Job summary

A leading quality control firm in Singapore is seeking candidates for a primary role in Quality Control. Responsibilities include performing product measurements, assisting the Workshop Supervisor, and ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are met. On-the-job training will be provided. Applications are encouraged from candidates aged 50 years and above. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have experience in quality control measurements.
• Ability to report findings accurately to management.
• Skills in maintaining cleanliness and safety in the workshop.

Responsibilities

• Perform measurements of products to meet specifications.
• Assist the workshop supervisor in daily operations.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness standards are practiced.

Job description

Key Areas

Quality Control (Primary Role – On-The- Job Training will be provided)

• To perform measurement of products and ensure they are measured in accordance to specification and standards.
• Responsible on all quality measurement output to customers’ expectation.
• To report findings or discrepancies to Operation Manager/MD.
• To perform scheduled data collection on equipment/system.
• To help Decontamination of Quartz ware (during incoming and Final Cleaning of Quartz ware after Final QC inspection done).
• To vacuum pack products that is expected by the customers.

Assistance to Workshop Supervisor

• To assist the workshop supervisor in ensure smooth and efficient operation of the repair shop which includes;
• Repair efficiencies
• Cost efficiencies
• Propose improvements, including safety, for management for consideration.
• To ensure safety requirements are observed and practiced.
• To ensure cleanliness and orderliness are maintained (5S).
• Help in supporting the expansion of the repair and cleaning capabilities.
• Other additional duties which may be assign from time to time.
