A global biopharma company in Singapore seeks a Quality Control Analyst to perform analytical testing, review compliance data, and support investigations in a regulated laboratory setting. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a pharmaceutical environment. The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and adherence to quality standards. Offered on-site only due to the nature of the position.
You will carry out and oversee quality control testing in our analytical laboratories in Singapore. You will work closely with lab colleagues, manufacturing teams and quality partners to ensure accurate, compliant and timely release of materials. Responsibilities
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
Perform routine analytical and biochemistry testing of raw materials, manufacturing processes, utilities/environmental monitoring and finished materials using approved methods and laboratory instruments.
Review and approve test data, ensuring accuracy and timely availability of results for release decisions and ensure that the tests are analyzed in accordance with corporate, regulatory and external agency regulations.
Support investigations for deviations, out-of-specifications and environmental incidents, and help implement corrective actions.
Contribute to method and equipment validation, revalidation and qualification activities, including execution and documentation.
Prepare and update laboratory documents such as quality and safety related standard operating procedures, test protocols and technical reports.
Coach and train colleagues on methods, instrumentation and data integrity expectations to build team capability.
Provide support for all laboratory-related activities (e.g. Tiers, Gemba, DMAIC, 5S standard work, data reviews, etc).
Why You?
This role is on-site in Singapore. Hybrid and remote working are not available due to the hands-on laboratory nature of the role.
Basic Qualification
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or a related field, or Diploma with equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum 2 years’ laboratory experience in a regulated environment, preferably pharmaceutical or biopharma.
Practical experience with analytical techniques or biochemistry methods relevant to quality control.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice and laboratory quality systems.
Strong record keeping, report writing and basic investigation skills.
Capability in strong problem-solving skills is recommended (e.g. Identifies / reports /resolve / escalate issues promptly and appropriately and implement appropriate corrective actions.)
Good teamwork, communication skills and ability to organise daily laboratory work.
Able to work independently and as part of a team under shift patterns (including weekends) when required.
Preferred Qualification
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
Experience in method validation, equipment qualification and computer system validation.
Hands-on skills with chemistry, biochemical or microbiological assays such as Chromatographic analysis and ELISA.
Practical experience leading investigations, root cause analysis and implementing CAPA.
Familiarity with data integrity principles and electronic laboratory systems.
Basic knowledge of statistical tools or data analytics for laboratory data review.
Prior experience supporting audits or acting as a technical subject matter expert.
