About the Role
Our facility in Singapore focuses on R&D, procurement, sales and finance for our Lighting and Detection business lines, and also supports our Optics Manufacturing capabilities, including production of optical lenses such as spherical, aspherical and plano optics with large machine shop capabilities.
We are presently seeking a QA Technician that will support the team to fulfill customer's expectations.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with all Laser Risk Assessments and guidelines.
- Work within company procedures for quality (QMS) and maintain high levels of cleanliness, traceability of parts and documentation.
- Assist and support with internal audits.
- Maintain a safe and clean working area ensuring area is suitable to carry out the required tasks
- Perform First Article Test (FAT) and First Article Inspection (FAI).
- Perform in-process QC inspection/Final QA inspection and report nonconformity for evaluation and disposition.
- Records inspection data and results into respective inspection report.
- Enter inspection data and results into respective ERP/Database system.
- Verify Acceptance Test Record (ATR) and other related documents are duly completed with required information.
- Manage time according to works assigned to meet incoming inspection Turn-Around-Time (TAT).
- Understand and follow relevant Work Instruction (WI) and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
- Feedback issues to Section In-charge & seek help to solve the issues on daily basis.
- Provide support to Section In-charge on planning for urgent jobs.
- Liaise with Section in-charge for any clarification related to works.
- Carry out proper maintenance of measuring equipment and monitor the calibration status.
- Undertake additional QA responsibilities as and when required and assigned (such as In-Process, Final inspection, etc.).
Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Optics Engineering preferred or Associate certification or Nitec (ITE) with five+ year experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Good background in Life Science, Medical, Semiconductor, Optronics and Avionics manufacturing environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in Quality Inspection in a relevant manufacturing industry.
- Experience in Optics / Fiber Optics Inspection.
- Able to use basic test and inspection equipment (calipers, verniers, surface tables).
- Experience and understanding in working an ISO9001 Quality Management System.
- Able to interpret manufacturing drawings / technical specification / test results.
- Able to interpret supplier material certificates.
- Able to work within a clean room environment as required.
