Job summary

A recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to inspect and manage parts quality in the marine industry. Responsibilities
  • Inspect outgoing & incoming parts according to specification of inspection.
  • Maintain quality record and file quality data. Highlight quality problems to Managers for action.
  • Ensure non-conforming products are not mixed with good products prior to disposition.
  • Authorise the rejection of parts if found unsatisfactory.
  • Authorise release of conforming parts and send to store for subsequent delivery to customers.
  • Perform factory routine test and check of switchboards completed in the workshop.
  • Test & commissioning of switchboards on board vessels and attend warranty /quality complaints.
  • Conduct tests on switchboards which require witnessing by surveyors or consultants.
  • Assist in quality responsibilities, achieving quality objectives and maintain housekeeping.
  • Observe and adhere to safety rules and ensure the use of calibrated instrument for inspection.
  • Initiate to prevent the occurrence of Product Non-Conformity and recommend solutions.
  • Control further processing and delivery of Non-Conforming products until corrected.
Requirements
  • ITE/Diploma/Degree in Electrical field with 2 years in QAexperience in marine/ industrial field
  • Ability to travel on site, and oversea when required.
