We\'re seeking someone to join our Data Security Tooling team as a Software Engineer in Cyber. We are seeking a talented and seasoned Software Engineer to join our team in building a Firmwide Data Security Gateway, an innovative solution that will drive the adoption of advanced data security capabilities across the Firm, and leverage GenAI solution to improve the Firm\'s data security posture. This role offers multiple focus areas and opportunities for a dynamic, multi-disciplinary professional who is passionate about delivering scalable, secure, enterprise-wide solutions that protect the Firm\'s critical data assets.

In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Software Engineering position at Director level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What you\'ll do in the role:

• Contribute to the function through complex project tasks and initiatives.
• Interact regularly with team members and occasionally leadership on a range of topics.
• Develop and architect innovative solutions to enhance a high-performance file transfer data gateway.
• Design, implement, and maintain key features for large-scale, mission-critical systems.
• Lead efforts to refactor and optimize existing codebase for efficiency and maintainability.
• Maintain and enhance existing software applications to optimize performance and functionality.
• Integrate prepackaged software and services into the bank\'s technology ecosystem.
• Conduct code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and tools to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
• Analyze product performance data to drive continuous improvement.

What you\'ll bring to the role:

• At least 4 years\' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
• Ability to process information, translate into plans and present summaries to stakeholders.
• Experienced understanding of business line and discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience in building large-scale and high-performance web applications using Java and/or Python.
• Working knowledge of C#/.NET is a plus.
• Strong hands-on experience with full-stack web technologies spanning client-side, server-side, and infrastructure components, including web/application servers, load balancing, database, caching strategies, compression, security implementation, and file transfer over web.
• Experience in designing, developing, and managing file transfer services for large-scale enterprise solutions.
• Expertise in performance optimization and scalability.
• Good understanding of DevOps practices and tooling.
• Experience in understanding the requirements of large enterprise applications (security, entitlements, etc.).
• Experience working in Agile development methodologies.
