Job summary

A leading recruitment firm seeks a Purchasing and Inventory Manager to oversee the purchasing cycle and maintain optimal inventory levels. Job description

  • Working hours: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm
  • Location: Ubi (Walking distance from Macpherson MRT)

Job Description

  • Purchasing: Managing the entire purchasing cycle, from sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to placing orders and tracking deliveries.
  • Inventory Management: Maintaining optimal inventory levels, involving stock cycle count, and implementing inventory control procedures. And meeting inventory target set by superior.
  • Team Leadership: Leading and supervising a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and prices, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Warehouse Operations: Ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the warehouse, including storage, handling, and issuing of goods.
  • Data Analysis: Analyzing inventory data and purchasing trends to identify areas for improvement, cost saving and cost optimization.
  • Compliance: Ensuring adherence to purchasing policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations.
  • Others: Able multitasking. Perform any other duties as required by superiors.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in a relevant field (e.g., supply chain management, logistics).
  • 5 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, and/or warehouse operations, preferably in a supervisory role is a plus.
  • Proficiency in inventory and purchasing management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems.
