What the role is

The roles of the job holder(s) within the Home Team Psychology Division (HTPD) are related to Emergency and Crisis Response research.

What you will be working on
  1. Conduct research related to emergency and crisis response, focusing on:
    • Impact of terror‑related incidents on individuals and communities
    • Effective and relevant mentaldị health responses and strategies at variousکند levels for individuals and communities
    • Effective and relevant mental health responses and strategies at various levels for emergency response officers and law enforcement officers
    • Cultural and community implications and considerations
    • Impact on and needs of special or vulnerable populations
    • Impact on crisis leaders’ decision‑making and leading teams
    • Comparisons of models and intervention strategies adopted by different countries in post‑terror recovery
    • Best practices to be adopted by mental health practitioners when doing emergency and crisis response work
  2. Develop relevant resources, reports, products, programmes, and training syllabi and materials to train HT psychologists and community partners.
  3. Conduct trainings, briefings and sharings to management, partners, HT officers and community.
  4. Plan and implement research processes independently or in partnership with stakeholders and service providers.
  5. Assist in working with stakeholders on research conceptualisation, approval, amendments, and implementation to meet their interests.
  6. Support all administrative submissions related to budgeting, procurement, data and materials management.
  7. Assist in liaising with service providers on procurement process, research project management, auditing, monitoring, and ethical research standards compliance.

  9. Work closely with other staff in producing effective research products, resources, toolkits and educational materials for different audience types, e.g., infographics, brief reports, technical reports, PowerPoint slides, podcasts, etc.
  10. Communicate research progress and findings in written or oral presentation format to a variety of audiencesাঝদি.
  11. Ensure proper handling of research data and processes that comply with research ethics standards.
  12. Collaborate with research vendors to ensure deliverables in analysis, findings, reports, presentations and other materials are fulfilled.
