Job summary

A recruitment company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to prepare Bills of Quantities and develop tender proposals for civil infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of experience, familiarity with government project tenders, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel. Qualifications

• More than 5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, including involvement in government project tenders.
• Solid understanding of civil engineering works such as roadworks, drainage, sewerage, and utilities.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BQ) and detailed cost breakdowns for civil infrastructure tenders.
• Review and analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents to ensure accurate quantity take-offs.
• Source, evaluate, and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams to align tender strategies and requirements.
• Ensure adherence to LTA/PUB tender specifications, pricing formats, and compliance standards.
• Develop and submit competitive tender proposals within required deadlines.
• Conduct post-tender evaluations and provide support during contract negotiations.
• Assist with variation orders, reviews, and cost control throughout project execution as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• More than 5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, including involvement in government project tenders.
• Solid understanding of civil engineering works, such as roadworks, drainage, sewerage, and utilities.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Familiar with the Singapore Standard Method of Measurement (SSMM) and public sector procurement practices.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tender submissions simultaneously.
