Our client is an established main-con in Singapore seeking a qualified and experienced Project Manager to oversee the safety and timely delivery of large scale industrial or treatment process plant projects. The ideal candidate will be a Civil Engineer with qualifications recognized by the Professional Engineers Board Singapore or be accredited as a Professional Project Manager (PPM) by the Singapore Project Management Institute (SPM).
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of water treatment plant projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet project objectives.
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor project status, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
- Prepare and present progress reports and updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Ensure all construction activities adhere to environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement strategies in project management to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification recognized by the Professional Engineers Board Singapore or accreditation as a Professional Project Manager (PPM) by the Singapore Project Management Institute (SPM).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on water treatment plants or projects of similar complexity.
- Demonstrated experience in managing the safety and timely delivery of large-scale projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
