Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a highly experienced individual to oversee planning and site operations. The ideal candidate will have a recognized degree in Engineering or Construction Management and a minimum of 7 years' project management experience in building work within Singapore. Responsibilities include liaising with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental policies, and conducting site inspections to meet project targets. This role demands strong expertise in construction management and planning capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of project management experience in the building work in Singapore.
• Good all-rounded knowledge in construction management, planning capability, and contractual matters; adopt lean mindset to cost and resource management.
• Trained in productivity, Conquas, and Green Mark will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Over-all in-charge for Planning and Site Operation.
• Ensure compliance with company’s ISO, safety, environment policy and procedures.
• Liaise with clients, authorities, consultants, QS, purchasing, and subcontractors.
• Monitor and chase authorities' submission & approval for structures, architectural and M&E.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Over-all in-charge for Planning and Site Operation
• Ensures all company’s ISO, safety, environment policy and procedures are complied with.
• Liaise with Client, Authorities, Consultant, QS, Purchasing and Subcontractors
• To monitor and chase Authorities submission & approval for Structure, Architectural and M&E.
• Chair progress meeting and presentation to Client and Consultants.
• Monitor & Comply to Master Programme and create micro schedules for all work trades.
• Closely monitoring of site progress and to resolve whatever site obstruction to expedite works.
• Monitor Coordinators & Engineers and ensure all communication will transmit to all parties (Architectural, Structural & M&E – staff & subcontractors)
• Monitor and chase Contract Department to award subcontractor works
• Monitor and chase Materials sample submission for all trades to consultant / client approval.
• Monitor and assist Coordinator & Engineer to Prepare Method Statement for approval.
• To assist Coordinator and Engineer for preparation of required Mock Up unit.
• Ensure that all information is distributed to all site staff, sub-contractors, suppliers and all other trades involve in the project.
• Correspondences to Consultants, Subcontracts and HQ.
• Maintains and ensure all testing requirements and records are in place.
• Ensures all discrepancies are resolved with the consultants in the shortest time required.
• Monitor daily activity report from respective site staff
• Liaise with, Structure Engineer, Architectural Coordinator and M&E Engineer for daily progress of work to ensure meet the target schedule of the Project completion.
• Performs daily site inspection to ensure work progress is align to the schedule.
• Performs daily inspection to ensure safety provision on site.
• To ensure all safety documents are in place to get ready for any Authority Inspection.
• Performs daily site inspection to resolve site problems with the structure Engineer, Architectural Coordinator, M&E Engineer & Site Supervisors.
• Accompanies Consultants and Client for any site inspection if neccesary
• Monitor all site works to ensure they follow according to contract and specifications.
• Conducts site meetings as and when required in regard to site issues.
• Inspect works carried out by subcontractors are in-accord with approved trade demonstration
