Job summary

An established engineering consultancy company in Singapore is seeking an engineer to prepare Dynamic Positioning System reports, conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, and participate in sea trials onboard vessels. Candidates should have at least a degree in Electrical & Electronics or related discipline, proficiency in AutoCAD, and willingness to travel outstation. The role offers a basic salary of up to S$ 4,000, onboarding vessel allowances, and a variable bonus over a 5-day work week.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Dynamic Positioning System trial reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct Dynamic Positioning Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to enhance reliability.
  • Participate in sea trials onboard vessels, overseeing operational tests at sea.
  • Communicate with clients regarding technical matters, addressing queries and providing updates.
  • Produce technical reports and drawings to support engineering assessments.

Location

West Area (5 minutes walk from Jurong East MRT)

Working Hours

5 Days Work Week, 9am to 6pm (Mon-Fri)

Remuneration Package
  • Basic up to S$ 4,000

The incumbent will be responsible for performing daily engineering tasks, preparing reports, and handling technical work, including attending sea trials onboard vessels to fulfill these responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare Dynamic Positioning System trial reports: Document and analyze the performance and results of Dynamic Positioning (DP) systems during vessel trials, ensuring accuracy and completeness for technical evaluation.
  • Conduct Dynamic Positioning Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA): Identify potential failure points in DP systems, assess their impact, and propose mitigation strategies to enhance system reliability and safety.
  • Participate in sea trials onboard vessels: Attend and oversee operational tests at sea, ensuring that equipment and systems perform according to design specifications and industry standards.
  • Communicate with clients regarding technical matters: Serve as the technical liaison with clients, addressing queries, providing updates, and ensuring alignment on project requirements and outcomes.
  • Produce technical reports and drawings: Prepare detailed technical documentation and schematics to support engineering assessments, project deliverables, and client submissions.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum Degree in Electrical & Electronics (E&E) or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Willingness to travel outstation on short notice.
