Qualifications

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Project Engineer to support the planning and execution of power infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, contributing to successful project delivery while ensuring full compliance with safety, technical, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager with daily project activities, including coordination, scheduling, planning, and implementation of work.
  • Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring project activities in line with project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
  • Prepare accurate and clear drawings including shop drawings, as-built drawings, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD or other drafting software.
  • Revise drawings as required, based on project requirements, site conditions, or feedback from the project team and consultants.
  • Prepare the claim actively and submit to client
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and supervisors to ensure that all drawings, especially as-built drawings, comply with project specifications, standards, and client requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction activities are carried out in compliance with approved designs, contract specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Provide recommendations for corrective actions when deviations from the project scope, schedule, or quality occur.
  • Serve as the point of contact for clients, consultants, authorities, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication of project progress, specifications, and any challenges.
  • Review project proposals and plans to align project objectives with management expectations, ensuring performance criteria and client needs are clearly understood and incorporated.
  • Oversee project timelines and milestones, proposing adjustments and modifications to the schedule as needed to ensure timely delivery.
  • Attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders to collaboratively address concerns, resolve technical issues, and ensure alignment among all parties involved.
  • Prepare and submit all necessary documentation, including progress reports, monthly reports, and other key project documents.
  • Prepare and submit monthly progress claims in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by the immediate superior or Head of Department.
Qualifications
  • Recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an institution accredited by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore.
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in civil engineering and/or construction project management.
  • Good understanding of SP Group procedures, utility coordination, and regulatory compliance within Singapore.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast‑paced environment.
  • Detail‑oriented with a strong commitment to delivering quality results.
  • Possession of a valid Class 2 or Class 3 driving licence is an advantage for site mobility.

  • Work Schedule: 6‑day work week.
  • Location: Office at No. 3 Sungei Kadut Drive, Singapore 729556 (North Singapore)
