Role Purpose

The Project Coordinator will serve as the primary technical link between the Robotics Project Management team and the building's main contractor. You will oversee the physical deployment of Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) infrastructure, ensuring that all hardware—including lift interfaces, automated door controllers, and charging stations—is installed according to technical specifications and integrated seamlessly with the hospital’s building management systems.

Key Responsibilities
1 Technical Documentation & Shop Drawings
  • Prepare, submit, and manage hardware installation shop drawings for AMR charging stations, lift controller PLC boxes, and door interface controllers.
  • Draft and update network communication cable routing and electrical point layout plans.
  • Collaborate with PMs to refine AMR-to-Building interface drawings.
2 Site Coordination & Stakeholder Management
  • Represent the robotics team at weekly site meetings with the building's main contractor to align on construction progress.
  • Coordinate with MEP sub-contractors to ensure power and data points are ready for AMR equipment.
  • Manage the interface with OEM door and lift providers for control box installation and accessibility.
3 Onsite Installation & Quality Control
  • Supervise physical installation of hardware (PLC boxes, sensors, charging docks) to ensure it matches approved drawings.
  • Maintain a rigorous log of installation progress and hardware serial numbers.
4 Testing & Commissioning (T&C)
  • Execute and document hardware and software interface testing during the final 4-month project phase.
  • Verify that AMRs can successfully trigger door releases, call lifts, and navigate security access points.
Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics.

Proficiency in AutoCAD (BIM/Revit experience preferred). Basic understanding of PLC logic and low-voltage electrical systems.

2–4 years in construction site coordination or large-scale systems integration.

Prior experience in AMR or AGV deployment, including knowledge of fleet management systems, robot mapping, or sensor calibration.

Familiarity with OpenRMF or robot interoperability standards (e.g., SS 675) is highly advantageous.
