Job Summary

BlueSky Education are currently recruiting English /ESL teachers for residential and non-residential summer positions for March till August in Singapore. We are looking for professional, creative and motivated teachers to join our summer team working with international students aged 8-17.

We focus on student-centred fully communicative lessons, built around tasks that form part of our English + skills programmes. We offer a competitive salary, strong teacher development and support and a fair working schedule.

OUR SUMMER CAMPS

• We provide fun, cultural and educational camps & study tours for students from around Asia Pacific and Europe.
• Students range in age from 8 - 19 years old depending on the group and time of year.
• Lessons take place at various locations around Singapore (HwaChong International Boarding School, Dunman Boarding School, NUS, to name a few) from 8.30am - 11.30am from Monday - Friday when camps are in session with some camps having classes on Saturday but none on Thursday (depending on the individual schedule).
• We want our students and teachers to enjoy their time at camp so we encourage teachers to be creative and interactive during their lessons in order to create a memorable camp experience for our groups.

Current Positions

• We run summer camps from March - August for 1 - 2 weeks at a time and will need teachers throughout this duration.
• Summer Camp Dates: 4 June - 17 June // 18 June - 1 July // 2 July - 15 July // 16 July - 29 July // 30 July - 12 Aug // 13 Aug -26 Aug 2023.
• Camp dates from March - June vary and can be given closer to the time.
• Teachers can choose to teach at one, two or even all of our summer camps – it's up to you! Perfect for a bit of extra income during summer time but still allowing flexibility to travel and relax in your time off.
• Hourly Rate is SGD$35 -$60/hour depending on candidates’ experience and ability.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Requirements:

• Cambridge CELTA/Trinity CERT TESOL or equivalent.
• Previous summer school, ESL teaching experience.
• Native or native level English speaker with strong communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, motivated and flexible.
• Able to work well with the team.
• Awareness of safety requirements and responsibilities of working with under 18s.
• Be residing in Singapore.

Desirable Requirements:

• Creative and energetic.
• Experience or a background in leadership, public speaking or with strong communicative skills.
