A leading company in Singapore is looking for a Production Planner to manage the production capacity based on customer demands. The role involves coordinating with various departments to ensure timely production and delivery while documenting and implementing best practices in planning. Ideal candidates will possess relevant qualifications and experience in supply chain management.
Objectives of the position:
The Production Planner is required to establish the required Production Capacity according to the Customer Demands (Sales Orders/Forecasts) and subsequently work out a feasible Production Plan. He/She is then required to follow-up closely with various departments to ensure that the Production Schedule is closely adhered to and eventually lead to the fulfilment of the required delivery deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish the production/manpower capacity for the factory and converting customer demands (sales forecast) into a feasible production plan (monthly, weekly, and daily)
• Identify, negotiate, and drive resolution of any conflict with different departments related to material availability, capacity, and order fulfilment
• Maintain SAP Production Order release schedule and coordinate with Warehouse and Material Handling Team to ensure timely provision of materials to Production
• Review MRP execution to ensure accuracy of information and reconcile supply and demand where necessary
• Prepare report on the performance of production and highlight issues and bottlenecks that may potentially impact the achievement of the production schedule and delivery deadlines
• Document planning/scheduling guidelines and processes as well as to support the analysis, development, and implementation of new planning best practices
• Work closely with Sales/CS, Purchasing and Warehouse/Logistics departments to update demand forecast and ensure on-time ordering, receipt, delivery of raw materials and finished goods shipments
• Monitor the actual production progress against the production plan and intervene where necessary to bring the schedule back on track
• Monthly reconciliation for all stock balances and rectify any inventory Skills
Qualification:
• Professional Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or any other relevant studies
• Preferably 1-2 years of experience in demand management, supply management, manufacturing planning, supply chain planning and execution
• Basic inventory management and warehousing operations knowledge
• Computer literate (MS Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experienced in SAP (esp. S/4 HANA Production Module) would be an added advantage
• Good communication skills and ability to interact with all levels
• Good work attitude and willingness to learn discrepancies after investigation
Working hours:
Mon to Fri 8:30am to 5:30pm
