Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified suppliers for marine consumables.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  • Maintain an updated supplier database and conduct performance assessments.
  • Plan and manage replenishment schedules to avoid stock shortages.
  • Coordinate with warehouses and logistics partners for timely delivery.
  • Analyze procurement spend to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends to adjust buying strategies.
  • Prepare monthly reports covering procurement expenditure and supplier KPIs.
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including payment tracking and delivery verification.
  • Ensure adherence to MPA and PSA regulations.
  • Respond to urgent procurement needs to minimize operational downtime.

Role Overview

As a Procurement & Supply Specialist (Marine Industry), you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified suppliers for marine consumables.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, and clearly defined SLAs.
  • Maintain an updated supplier database, conduct regular performance assessments (cost, quality, delivery), and ensure all procurement activities comply with ISO/ISM standards.
  • Plan and manage replenishment schedules in line with vessel operational requirements to avoid stock shortages or excess inventory.
  • Coordinate with warehouses, port terminals, and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of supplies.
  • Analyze procurement spend to identify cost‑saving opportunities such as bulk purchases or alternative suppliers.
  • Monitor market trends (e.g., fuel price movements, spare parts supply conditions) to adjust buying strategies.
  • Prepare monthly reports covering procurement expenditure, supplier performance KPIs, and inventory turnover metrics.
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including payment tracking, delivery verification, milestone monitoring, and warranty or claims handling.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant MPA and PSA regulations across procurement and delivery processes.
  • Respond to urgent procurement needs, in effort to minimize operational downtime for vessels.
