Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to oversee procurement and manufacturing processes for critical systems, including DCS and SCADA. The candidate will ensure compliance with quality standards, communicate effectively with vendors, and manage inspection reports. A bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least five years of QA experience are required, along with a strong understanding of relevant standards and codes. Job Summary

Reports to Senior Procurement Quality Engineer. Participate in the procurement and manufacturing process of instrumentequipment, such as Distributed Control System (DCS), Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, Remote Terminal Unit (RTU), and Emergency Shutdown (ESD) systems, from RFQ to shipment, handling any quality issues (TBE, PO, KOM, PIM, Manufacturing, In-progress Inspection, Pressure Test, FAT, Final Inspection, etc.).

Principal Responsibilities
  • To become familiar with the company's requirements
  • Participate in various meetings with the Vendor/Company to ensure that the vendor knows the company's quality requirements.
  • Attend KOM and prepare the quality section of the KOM slide.
  • Review and comment on vendor documents (ITP, MPS, FAT procedure, report, etc.)
  • Communicate with the vendor/Company regarding controversial comments or feedback, and raise a clarification meeting if necessary.
  • Organize PIM meeting as host
  • Verify NOI readiness and forward to the TPC coordinator for vendor inspection
  • Review and comment TPC inspection report
  • Issue NCR if discrepancies are identified and expedite the vendor's resolution proposal / RCA (If necessary) within 3 working days of receiving NCR from the vendor.
  • Review the manufacturer's record book / As-built dossier.
Education/Experience/Certification Requirements
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering.
  • Must have a minimum of five years (5) of experience directly relating to the Quality Assurance procurement execution and vendor inspection activities.
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of ISO-9001, IEEE, IEC, ATEX and IECEX International standard and code requirements and implementation.
  • Should be able to demonstrate working knowledge of codes required by the purchase order, such as ISA RP12.6, ISA RP12.2.02, ISA TR12, ANSI MC96.1, IEEE 518, IEEE 1100, IEC 60529, NEMA IC S 6,N EMA 250, NEMA VE 1, NEMA VE 2, NFPA 70/National Electrical Code (NEC), and UL 94, etc.
  • IEC 60079 qualification. ATEX, IECEX will be an advantageous value
