Job summary

A consulting firm based in Singapore is seeking a procurement specialist to manage suppliers and materials in the semiconductor industry. The ideal candidate has a Diploma, at least 2 years of experience, and is fluent in both Mandarin and English. Responsibilities include sourcing suppliers and ensuring material quality, while maintaining strong supplier relationships. The role offers a salary range from $2,800 to $4,000 plus AWS and VB.

• Basic from $2,800 to $4,000 + AWS + VB
• Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm
• Location: Ang Mo Kio

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and research local and overseas suppliers for machine components, materials, and procurement items.
• Identify new suppliers and review existing ones to maintain a qualified supplier pool.
• Communicate with suppliers to procure quality materials and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate for best pricing, payment terms, and lead times.
• Coordinate with suppliers on delivery schedules, quality issues, specifications, and certifications.
• Arrange training sessions for designers/engineers with suppliers when needed.
• Monitor and manage project costings for accuracy and cost savings.
• Manage inventory turnaround time and purchase orders.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, workshop, and assembly teams to support cost efficiency and timely project completion.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Min. Diploma in a relevant field.
• At least 2 years of procurement experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry. More experienced candidates may be considered for a senior role.
• Fluent in Mandarin & English to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates.
• Basic knowledge of machine components is preferred.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Able to work independently under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Proficient in SAP and MS Office.
