Procurement Manager (Direct)
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Category Manager(Direct) to manage sourcing and category initiatives within the direct procurement space. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in direct procurement and supplier management, with the ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with business objectives and deliver value that match the stakeholders’ expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Category Ownership : Manage direct procurement category, consisting of but not limited to vehicle repair and maintenance, MRO, Autonomous, Electric Vehicle Components and projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology road maps.

  • Strategic Sourcing : Develop and execute competitive sourcing strategies that drive value, reduce costs, mitigate supply risks that meet business requirements.

  • Spend Analysis & Optimization : Analyse spends across business units within the Group and identify opportunities to obtain better value to the business.

  • Supplier Management : Conduct evaluation, selection and performance management of suppliers. Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers through business and performance review. Drive continuous improvement plans to deliver new value-add.

  • Cross-Functional Management : Interface with assigned business units, Finance, Legal to align procurement strategy with enterprise objectives.

  • Contract & Risk Management : Conduct contract negotiations and manage contractual obligations. Ensure compliance with commercial terms, legal requirements and cybersecurity standards.

  • Market Intelligence : Monitor global market trends, innovations and supplier capabilities to proactively adapt category strategies.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of 5 years of direct procurement experience.
  • Ability to understand purchase requirements, formulate sourcing plans and negotiation strategic.
  • Good knowledge of procurement best practices, contract and commercial laws, financials and cost analysis
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and driving cost saving initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving & decision making and interpersonal skills.
  • Written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels.
