A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Procurement Buyer to manage the procurement process from Purchase Request to Purchasing Order issuance. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Business Administration or related fields, along with at least two years of procurement experience. Strong analytical and negotiation skills are essential for maintaining supplier relationships and achieving service level agreements.

Job Description

Responsible for the end-to-end procurement process from Purchase Request (PR) sourcing to Purchasing Order (PO) issuance to support the needs of Business Units and meet agreed service levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procure goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
  • Conduct sourcing/ competitive quotation so as to ensure that the best value is achieved for the company
  • Evaluate, negotiate and award orders to selected supplier
  • Ensure that goods and services are timely delivered
  • Achieve the Service Level Agreements (SLA) of Shared Services Centre (SSC)
  • Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures
  • Resolve all price, quality, and delivery or invoice issues
  • Build, maintain and manage relationships of both internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement efforts on work process efficiency
Requirements
  • Diploma in Business Administration/ Procurement/ Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • At least two (2) years of experience in Procurement as a Buyer
  • SAP Hands-on and Microsoft Office experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication & planning skills
  • Able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced shared services environment

Working hours: Mon - Fri / 8am to 5.30pm
