Job summary

A prominent engineering service provider in Singapore is seeking a procurement specialist to maintain records, collaborate with project teams, and manage purchasing activities. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in procurement and relevant qualifications in Engineering or related fields. Knowledge of water/wastewater industries is preferred, along with strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical works, fabrication, and piping works is a plus.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Conversant of purchasing exercise and familiar with associated contractual terms and conditions for Procurement Works related to ICA Works.
• Maintain procurement records and documentation.
• Communicate and work closely with the project team for preparation of the invitation of the request for Proposal and administering of the purchase requisition and award consent with the project team.
• Collaborating with procurement team in day-to-day procurement operation.
• Collaborating with Project Leads in project budget monitoring.
• Experience in auditing and its procedures and compliances.
• Strong command of English (oral and written) and effective communication skills with all levels; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Requirements

• At least 3 years working experience and with either a Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Science, Construction Management.
• With good knowledge and experience in procurement role in the past covering purchasing and associated contractual administration works.
• Positive thinking and with supportive atmosphere amongst the procurement team.
• Preferably with at least 2 years of experience in water and wastewater or waste to energy industries.
• Preferably with good knowledge of mechanical works covering fabrication and piping works.
