As a Vice President, Sales, based in Singapore, you will drive business development and relationship management efforts with Limited Partners (LPs) across Southeast Asia and Greater China, including sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, insurance companies, endowments, and family offices.

In this role, you will drive the adoption of MSCI’s private assets data, benchmarking, portfolio analytics, and risk management solutions, helping LPs enhance allocation decisions, portfolio transparency, and performance measurement across private equity, private debt, infrastructure, and real assets.

As private markets continue to expand and institutional investors demand greater insight into their portfolios, this position offers the opportunity to be a trusted advisor to sophisticated allocators and a key contributor to MSCI’s growth in the region.

Your Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Revenue Generation
  • Lead new business origination and client expansion with institutional investors (Limited Partners) across Southeast Asia and Greater China.
  • Promote MSCI’s private asset solutions—including benchmarking, performance measurement, analytics, and data platforms—to support LPs’ investment decision-making and oversight processes.
  • Develop and execute targeted go-to-market strategies that align with MSCI’s commercial objectives and regional growth opportunities.
  • Build a deep understanding of regional LP investment behaviors, portfolio strategies, and regulatory environments.
Strategic Sales Execution
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process—from opportunity identification and qualification through proposal development, pricing, negotiation, and close.
  • Engage directly with senior stakeholders, including CIOs, Heads of Private Markets, Portfolio Strategists, and Risk Officers, to position MSCI’s solutions as integral to their investment and reporting frameworks.
  • Navigate complex and consultative sales cycles, coordinating with internal experts to deliver tailored, high-value solutions.
  • Maintain disciplined sales forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM documentation.
Client & Market Engagement
  • Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with institutional investors across the LP landscape.
  • Represent MSCI at industry conferences, LP roundtables, and market forums to strengthen visibility and thought leadership in the private markets community.
  • Stay current on market trends—such as allocation shifts, ESG integration, and data transparency initiatives—to provide valuable insights to clients and inform internal strategy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Product Management, Research, Legal, and Client Service teams to deliver customized client solutions and ensure seamless execution.
  • Provide actionable market feedback and client insights to inform product development, analytics innovation, and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across regions to ensure global consistency in coverage, pricing, and delivery.
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
Experience & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of private market performance measurement, portfolio construction, and benchmarking methodologies.
  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles and influence senior decision-makers across investment, risk, and operations teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a consultative and client-centric mindset.
  • Technical fluency in financial data and portfolio analytics, with the ability to translate complex concepts into practical client value.
