A global medical device leader in Singapore is seeking a candidate for Medical Education and Sales Force Training. The role involves developing educational programs for healthcare professionals in the Cardiovascular sector, requiring strong project management skills and a creative approach to medical training. The ideal applicant will have at least 5 years of experience in the medical devices industry, particularly in cardiology or structural heart, and fluency in English.

The position focuses on creating and implementing programs that support Sales Force Training and Medical Education Pathways. The aim is to develop therapy knowledge and application skills of sales and health care professionals involved in the management of focus therapy in Cardiovascular – Structural Heart assigned portfolio. The role will require also execution of procedural and clinical education programs for targeted group of HCPs in alignment to OUs strategic objectives.
Strong engagement with key local key opinion leaders is also a foundational pillar to this role.
Serves as an expert in designing local context educational programs and raises the bar by creating and implementing new strategies and educational programs to help drive procedural adoption through safe & effective use training.
In collaboration with Regional OUs and Marketing participates in the development of MDT’s Regional and countries’ OUs business strategy to achieve OUs and regional educational objective in Structural Heart, CVP oCreate and implement Medical Education strategies that are aligned with business/SME/Functional team requirements. Participation in OUs monthly/Quarterly/ Yearly business review to ensure alignments and representation of T&E plans and outcomes.
Design and deliver blended learning programs combining live, virtual, and on-demand modules for physicians and healthcare teams. oDevelop and manage regional and countries faculties to Co-design, collaborate to conduct HCP training pathways relating to Structural heart
Recruit, contract, and partner with faculty in each target specialty to develop procedural/Therapies content and assets. Strict adherence to legal, compliance and local governing policies whom the faculty is based in, and to where he/she is engaged for the service.
Stay current with clinical literature, competitive products, and evolving treatment guidelines.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on the company’s structural heart portfolio, including product features, procedural use, and clinical data.
Develop Local & regional proctor network for each of the target specialties, whilst strong alignment to Region/country’s strategic imperatives.
Review current Medical Education offering and gaps and design events that support learning pathways from awareness to advocacy. Analyze program feedback for continuous medical education opportunities ; work with Commercial Teams for appropriate follow-up
Implement and maintain T&E data base together with the T&E Operations Team
Identify / develop / expand key KOLs , training center and Societies partnerships as prioritized together with Commercial, SME, functional team and countries.
Identify and pilot innovative education tools for realistic training scenarios, that can lead to enhancing learner engagement and allow assessment of program effectiveness for both internal MDTs stakeholders and external HCPs.
Maintain solid working relationships with Global OUs and SEA educators for cross-collaboration and leverage
Provide opportunities for localization of SEA and Asia programs
Working with local Legal and Compliance Teams, ensure that all programs meet Medtronic policies, APAC Med, AdvaMed, ACCME and any other local governing guidelines, and are properly documented – align with T&E Operations teams
Manage allocated budgets and contribute to the T&E group’s efficient budget and resources management
Analyze day-to-day issues to identify/ prioritize and oversee possible problem-solving scenarios
Foster solid working relationship with OU education groups for cross-leverage
Prepare events budgets for AOP planning, track expenses quarterly
Develop Training Calendar for AOP and Event Planning – Communicate programs / Outcomes
Plan and develop the training that aligns with country’s focus and support country needs for New hire training/ New product training/ Clinical training/ Refresh Training to drive excellence in commercial’s team competency
Create innovative training to generate and implement new ideas to enhance the sales force training effectiveness
