Job description
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership for major national projects in drainage, stormwater management, flood resilience, infrastructure planning, and coastal protection.
  • Lead and supervise a team of senior and junior engineers, ensuring high-quality technical output and capability development.
  • Develop robust solutions across hydrology, hydraulics, drainage modelling, climate resilience strategies, erosion control, and nature-based approaches.
  • Oversee engineering workstreams, modelling reviews, technical reports, and design development.
  • Work closely with government agencies such as PUB, URA, NParks, JTC, LTA, NEA, SDC and others, ensuring compliance with local processes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with international consultants, research partners, and specialist sub-consultants.
  • Present technical content and lead discussions with clients and stakeholder groups.
  • Support proposal preparation, tender submissions, and technical strategy for upcoming climate resilience and infrastructure bids.
  • Contribute to CRS initiatives including habitat restoration concepts, coastal erosion strategies, ABC Waters solutions, and integrated coastal–inland resilience planning.
Requirements
  • Degree in Civil, Environmental, Coastal or related Engineering discipline; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably with substantial work carried out in Singapore.
  • Strong foundation in drainage engineering, hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater systems, or flood mitigation.
  • Coastal engineering experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Singapore government agencies and understanding of regulatory processes, reviews, and approvals.
  • Experience coordinating or partnering with international consultants or research institutions.
  • Strong leadership capability, able to guide teams, mentor staff, and maintain high technical standards.
