Job summary

A marine sustainability solutions provider in Singapore is seeking an Engineer to develop innovative green marine solutions aimed at reducing the carbon footprint. Responsibilities include setting up a test lab, PLC software development for propulsion systems, and troubleshooting during commissioning. Job description

The company specializes in providing the marine and offshore industry with sustainability solutions. We focus on providing our customers with innovative solutions so that they can meet their companies’ ESG (Environment, Sustainability and Governance) goals, providing solutions for the energy transition, and marine maintenance, repair and overhaul.

Responsibilities
  • Develop green marine solutions that reduces marine carbon footprint, in line with company business objectives.
  • Hands on in setting up of test lab to enable development and testing.
  • Perform PLC software and algorithm development for electrical propulsion solutions.
  • Generate documentation of software architecture and logic flow, test procedures, quality control and any other necessary supporting documents.
  • Participate and support commissioning of vessels with similar configurations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to our delivered solutions that may arise during the vessel commissioning.
  • Any other tasks as may be required by supervisor.
Requirements
  • Minimum Engineering degree in relevant discipline
  • Strong software development skills particularly in equipment controls
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Hands on person
  • Team player
  • Good communicator and has no problem engaging with external parties
  • Knowledge in power electronics, motor drives, marine propulsion systems is a plus
  • Fresh graduates are welcomed
